On November 11, 2025, H.E. Ambassador Zhou Limin attended the state funeral held by the Kiribati Government for the First Lady, Madam Teiraeng Maamau. Ambassador Zhou mourned for the passing of the First Lady in accordance with the local custom and extended his condolences to H.E. President Maamau and his family. The Speaker of the Kiribati Parliament, many ministers and members of parliament, secretaries, religious leaders, mayors, the diplomatic corps, and local residents attended the ceremony.
