On December 13, the Chinese Embassy in Kiribati hosted a reception for mayors from various islands of Kiribati. Counsellor Zhao Jian of the Embassy and Hon. Minister Harry Tekaiti of MCIA attended the event and delivered speeches.

Over 50 participants were present, including Chairman of KiLGA Tetabo Manaima, Mayors of various islands, and Representatives from communities.

During the reception, Kiribati idols who recently returned from training programs in China performed Chinese songs, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy engaged in cordial exchanges with the mayors, strengthening mutual communication and friendship between both sides.
